This program has been the toughest for me to really wrap my head around. It’s dizzying. So like entering Barton Springs at 5 in the morning, the only really smart method is to jump in and just let your emotions sort of cry themselves tired after its done.
I’ve chipped away at this lynda.com course, Illustrator Fundamentals, in bits and pieces, but I’m powering through it now, beginning with this first drawing lesson that Deke McClelland walks you through creating from scratch. Deke McClelland, I should like to mention here, is a G-D hero of mine. I’d like to shake his hand someday, but perhaps I’ll just have to settle for writing a blog post about my appreciation for this beautiful man (some other time).
